Our table red wine is based on Sangiovese. The Sangiovese is the “king of red wines” in Italy and is present most profusely present in Tuscany. The Sangiovese’s popularity is due largely to its diversity, which depends greatly on the soil typology in which the grape is grown. The Sangiovese grape is like a chameleon since it alters its genetics to the fit the environment, and hence, has many mutations that make this wine so various and interesting.
Our table red wine is composed of the greater percentage of Sangiovese, and a smaller percentage of Canaiolo, and even smaller percentage of Ciliegiolo. The final result is a light and pleasing wine, gentle on the palate, with hints of cherry, strawberry and plum, and an aftertaste of roasted pepper. The colour is a brilliant ruby red.
