Description
Wine characteristics
Vernaccia di San Gimignano white wine has a straw yellow color with golden reflections that become accentuated with aging. The nose is fine, delicate, with fruity hints. With the age it develops a characteristic mineral scent of flint. Its flavor is dry, fresh, full-bodied, persistent, harmonious, with a characteristic bitter aftertaste of bitter almond. The freshness guarantees a more gradual evolution towards its balance with the flavor.
Pairing
It goes perfectly with first courses based on white sauces, rice and pasta salads and fish dishes. Also ideal to accompany white meats, vegetables and medium-aged cheeses.
Grapes
Vernaccia di San Gimignano is produced in a small area of Tuscany between Siena, Pisa and Florence.
