Grape variety: 80% Pugnitello e 20% Sirah.
Colour: very intense ruby red with garnet reflections.
Aroma: very intense and fruity nose, stand out the ripe red berries of raspberry, black cherry, blackberry and blueberry with hints of violet and pepper
Taste: splendid, supported by remarkable structure and powerful but tamed tannins. Sapid, lively, spicy, inebriating in its warmth and excellent aftertaste. With balanced acidity, very persistent
Alcohol content: 14% vol.

Red vinification with 15/20 days maceration on stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. Aging in barrels for at least 12 months

Pairing

Sumptuous with important meats, splendid with game but fascinating with seasoned and tasty cheeses. Wonderful if tasted on its own, after a meal.

Grapes

80% Pugnitello and 20% Sirah from the Pisan hills, Peccioli area. Pugnitello is a native Tuscan vine recently rediscovered by the universities of Florence and Pisa. About 10% of the Pugnitello grapes are left over ripening on the vine.
