Chianti has a viticultural and enological tradition that was born in the early eighteenth century. Our Chianti DOCG follows this recipe to which we add a percentage of Colorino that gives it the ruby color. Our Chianti ages for at least six months in oak barrels and for another six months in bottle. The result is a robust, complex wine, with an intense red colour, high structured tannins, married with intense fruit, vanilla and spicy aromas. The mixture with small percentages of other grapes such as Canaiolo and Ciliegiolo increases its intriguing complexity.
75% Sangiovese, 15% Canaiolo,, and up to 10% Merlot.
Our intense and pleasing Chianti Riserva goes best with meats, such as roast pork, steaks, and game (pheasant, rabbit, wild boar).
